Sanjiv Goenka unveils group as business splits

As part of a formal separation of businesses from those of his brother Harsh Goenka, Sanjiv Goenka has started rebranding his share of RPG Group assets.
RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, the entity led by him, yesterday unveiled its new corporate identity and logo different from those of the RPG Group, which is now with his elder brother Harsh with companies like Ceat and KEC in its fold.
That group would continue to be known as the RPG Group, the younger Goenka said after the unveiling.
He added that RPG Enterprises was not losing its identity and the businesses had been divided a year-and-a-half ago.
RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group has plans to bring in strategic investors next month into CESC Infrastructure Ltd, which would act as the holding company for all its proposed power ventures.
Goenka said fundraising for the holding company was at a very advanced stage and the negotiations were entering their last leg.
