Gulf Oil Corp''s Hyderabad factory reopens

Hyderabad: Gulf Oil Corporation's factory in the city, which has been closed since an explosion last November, has now obtained approval for restarting. The permission was granted from the department of explosives, Government of India, and the director of factories and the state fire services department.

According to the company, the factory will be restarted in phases starting with the safety and maintenance groups from January 23. After a full safety check of all machinery and equipment, the production departments would be restarted thereafter.

Separate notices are being issued by the company regarding restarting of the specific production departments.
