By Our Corporate Bureau | 29 May 2004
Hyderabad: Hot Wheels, the well-known range from Mattel Toys, has an addition — Hot 100 — in India. Hot 100 is a range of 100 new 1:64 scale cars which include realistic models of the world's best automobiles as well as amazing fantasy designs. Renowned car designer Dilip Chhabria unveiled the Hot 100 range.
The highlight stone of the Hot 100 range is the 2004 Realistics segment — die-cast models with attractive decos and authentic dimensions and features aimed at attracting the 'car collector' community. Besides these collector pieces, the Hot 100 range includes other die-cast trendy and fantasy series such as:
Tooned, which exaggerates the essence of the car,
Blings, which is inspired by the current SUV styling trends;
Hardnoze, which exaggerates the front end of the car,
Crooze, which focuses on the rear portion of the car and makes the metal 'melt into the aspahalt'
Fatbax, which is about power and mega-wheels for maximum road grip.
The company says the Hot Wheels 'Hot 100' range is also very economically priced at Rs69 apiece.
Speaking at the launch of Hot 100, Sanjay Luthra, managing director, Mattel Toys India, said, "This launch represents a pioneering initiative for us. Hot 100 has already met with phenomenal success since it's international launch, and we are extremely excited to bring these 100 incredible cars to kids in India. With their amazing features, cool graphics and mind-blowing styling, the Hot Wheels Hot 100 range is sure to become a rage for all car lovers, young or old across the country."
The Hot Wheels 'Hot 100' range will now be available in all leading toy and departmental stores across the country.
