JAL to launch first class service on Tokyo-New Delhi route from January

Japan Airlines (JAL) has said it will offer first class service on its daily flights between Tokyo and New Delhi from 11 January 2009 keeping in mind the robust demand on the route. Asia's largest carrier JAL said it decided to offer its First Class service on the route from early next year keeping in mind the fact that business class demand on the route has been particularly strong.
The airline has been incrementally increasing capacity and services over the past years. In Oct 2007 JAL increased flight frequency establishing a daily service on the route. On 1 August 2008 the carrier also increased seat capacity by switching the aircraft from a 777-200ER to a 747-400.
