Tata Power adds over 1.3 lakh new consumers in Mumbai

India's largest integrated power company, Tata Power, today said it added over 1.3 lakh new consumers in Mumbai since January 2014, making it among the fastest growing power utilities.

It said in Mumbai it has steadily been adding consumers across categories due to its lowest tariff offering to consumers below 300 units.

Currently, Tata Power's consumers below 300 units account for almost 70 per cent per cent of the company's total consumer base.

Tata Powe also said it is undertaking steady network expansion within the city and till date has added 702km of cable network in 2014.

Living by the vision of its founders, Tata Power aims to consistently meet the ever-growing power needs of its Mumbai consumers with efficient transmission and distribution of energy, superior service, and constant up gradation of technology..''

The company added it had focused on bringing electricity to low-end customers in Mumbai by offering them with reliable power at the cheapest tariffs and to service its increasing consumer base the company has been enhancing consumer convenience in the city.

It said the company has 32 customer relations centres and bill collection centres across the city that facilitate people willing to switch to Tata Power as their preferred power supplier and prompt and easy payment of electricity bills.
