Tata-SA’s Vistara to launch more flights from 16 February

Vistara, the full-service airline and the newest over Indian skies, said on Thursday that it will increase its flight operations from 16 February.

The joint venture between Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines currently operates three daily services between Delhi and Mumbai. The airline also operates one flight each between Delhi-Ahmedabad and Mumbai-Ahmedabad.

According to the airline's new schedule, two more daily flights will be operated on the Delhi-Mumbai route, while one more daily operation will be added to Mumbai-Ahmedabad and Delhi-Ahmedabad routes.

The airline started commercial operations 0n 9 January, making it the eighth scheduled passenger carrier to operate in India.

The airline also became the third full service carrier along with Jet Airways and Air India.

It has deployed the new Airbus A320-200 planes with 16 seats in business class, 36 premium economy and 96 in economy class.

Tata Sons holds the majority stake of 51 per cent, with 49 per cent held by Singapore Airlines.
