Chennai:
IT products distribution company will distribute a select
range of Wipro Infotech's desktops, notebooks and entry
level servers targeting the small and medium business
enterprises and small office and home office segments.
This
segment constitutes more than 40 per cent of the corporate
desktop market.
According
to Anil Jain, general manager, Wipro personal computing
products business, " Our partnership with Redington
is in line with our strategy to reach to specific customer
segments. This arrangement strongly complements the 275
strong business partner network, which has been an integral
part of our growth strategy in India, and contributes
to over 60 per cent of Wipro's total PC sales. Our agreement
with Redington will build an incremental customer base
for us, especially in the remote corners of the country.

Speaking
to the press to announce the marketing arrangement, Aniruddha
Joshi, vice president, Redington said: "We are pleased
to partner with Wipro Infotech. Given their strong presence
in the corporate
desktop segment and our immense reseller reach in India,
we see strong synergies between Wipro Infotech and Redington."
