New head for ICWA
Hyderabad: Dr H.R. Subramanya, Director-Finance, National Mineral Development Corporation has been elected President of the Institute of Cost and Works Accountants (ICWA) of India for the year 2004-05.

Appaji will be new ED at Pharmexcil
Hyderabad: The Pharmaceutical Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) has announced that Dr P.V. Appaji has assumed charge as its new Executive Director here on Wednesday. Before this, he was the Director of the National Pharmaceutical Pricing Authority (NPPA), Government of India. He will serve the Pharmexcil on deputation from NPPA for a period of three years, the council said in a press release.

Change of guard at Thermax
Pune: The Thermax Chairperson, Ms Anu Aga, will hand over charge to Ms Meher Pudumjee, her daughter. She had taken charge of the company after the demise of her husband, Rohinton Aga, a few years ago. Ms Aga, who became Chairperson in 1996, will step down in September to make way for her daughter who is currently the Vice-Chairperson.
