Tony Mirrcandani joins Country Club Mumbai as COO

Mumbai: Tony Mirrcandani, chief operating officer (COO) of Country Club India, is the new COO of Country Club Mumbai. Mirrcandani joined Country Club India Limited (CCIL) as COO in Mumbai in June this year.
He is currently working towards attaining the company's 'Vision 2005', which is the initiation of three other clubs in Mumbai to bring the total to four. In keeping with his commitment he plans to start Country Club's pub, Xaxis, sometime in August.
Speaking on his appointment, Y. Rajeev Reddy, chairman and MD, CCIL, said, "Tony's advertising background and brand management will provide the right impetus to our ongoing plans in Mumbai. His association with CCI Mumbai will certainly help us fulfil our commitment to our Vision 2005 of 3 more clubs in Mumbai."
Mirrcandani graduated from St Xavier's, Kolkota, in 1974. Marketing was always his cup of tea and some years later he started delivering guest lectures on marketing /advertising to MBA students at various institutes.
He later set up an ad agency in Hyderabad by the name of Shruti Advertising, which now has branches in Kolkata and Chennai. He has acted, written and directed a number of plays like Antigone, Becket and Death Trap. He had written the play, Love, Divorce and Carrot Juice, which was later published as a book by the Writer's workshop. He has also acted in TV serials and films.
