Vineesh Sadekar joins Hikal as president, COO

Formerly managing director with RPG Lifesciences Ltd (erstwhile Searle India Ltd), he was responsible for planning, organising and directing the overall operations of the company, which is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of pharmaceutical formulations, bulk pharmaceuticals API's, biotechnology products and agrochemicals.
Jai Hiremath, managing director, Hikal Limited, said Mr Sadekar's induction will strengthen the present management team for implementing Hikal's aggressive growth plans.
Mr Sadekar is a chemical engineer from UDCT with over 23 years of experience in various areas such as plant operations, project execution, corporate planning, business development and general management.
Before working with RPG Lifesciences Ltd, Mr Sadekar was president with BTP India Ltd.. Prior to BTP India Ltd, he was CEO with Cetex Petrochemicals Ltd., a company belonging to the RPG Group.
The Rs 116-crore Hikal is involved in custom synthesis and toll manufacturing of pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals and intermediates.
