Indus Towers appoints Hemant Ruia as chief financial officer

Indus Towers, the country's largest telecom tower company, has appointed Hemant Kumar Ruia as its Chief Financial Officer.

He joins Indus Towers from Reliance Retail, where he was designated as chief financial officer (CFO) and played the role of business partner across various brands such as Reliance Fresh, digital, jewellery, trends, footwear and Reliance Markets.

Ruia brings along with him over 23 years of experience across diverse industries. He holds extensive experience in business partnering, funds management, information systems, legal and secretarial and other aspects of leading the finance function, the company said in a statement.

Ruia started his career with Larsen & Tourbo and also worked with ICI India Limited and Reckitt Benkiser India, before moving to Agro Tech Food Limited (subsidiary of ConAgra Foods) where he was the CFO for over seven years.
