Robert Vadra, husband of Congress president Sonia Gandhi's daughter Priyanka, today rubbished the allegations made by Kejriwal about sweetheart deals with realtor DLF Ltd that netted him hundreds of crores of rupees.

Vadra posted a message on Facebook saying, "Thanks so much for your concern. I am fine and can handle all the negativity. I have lost people I loved, what can be worse?"

At the same time Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda denied that the state government had granted favours to DLF, as alleged by Kejriwal and his associate, senior Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan. Hooda said these were "wild allegations".

"We haven't favoured DLF or anyone. Our system is totally transparent. We haven't made any allotments to DLF," the chief minister said in a statement.

"If someone has been favoured, it can be challenged in court … this was reported earlier as well and my office had clarified everything," he added.

Union finance minister P Chidambaram also joined the debate, saying that "the individual (Robert) has disclosed all the transactions ... such transactions between two private individuals cannot be questioned, all of them have been disclosed."
