Yeddyurappa, his two sons B Y Raghavendra, B Y Vijayendra, son-in-law Sohan Kumar and former Housing Minister Krishnaiah Setty filed applications before Lokayukta Judge N K Sudhindra Rao for recall of the NBWs, which was considered and the warrants recalled.

The court issued the non-bailable warrants on Monday after the three accused failed to appear for the trial.

Today, they clarified that their appearance was delayed because advocates in Karnataka had boycotted courts on Monday in connection with the ongoing tussle with journalists.

Yeddyurappa sent his request letter to the court through a clerk. When the clerk presented the letter, the judge took objection to this and said the request cannot be accepted as it was not the proper procedure and issued a warrant to Yeddyurappa, his kin and Setty.
