MTS India names Sandeep Marwaha COO for Maharashtra circle

Sistema Shyam TeleServices Ltd (SSTL), which provides telecom services under the MTS brand, has appointed Sandeep Marwaha as Chief Operating Officer for Maharashtra circle.
''It gives me immense pleasure to welcome Sandeep Marwaha on board. I am confident that with his rich expertise and insight into the Indian telecom market, Sandeep will play a key role in driving growth of the company in one of the important telecom circles of India,'' Cheenu Seshadri, Chief Operating Officer, South & West Regions, MTS India, said.
Marwaha was previously with Vice President for Punjab and Himachal Pradesh circle of Vodafone Essar Ltd.

SSTL, is a joint venture between Sistema of Russia and Shyam Group of India, with Sistema holding a 74-per cent stake. Shyam Group holds a 23.5-per cent and the remaining 2.5 pe-cent is publicly held. SSTL had received spectrum to provide mobile telephony services across all the 22 circles in the country.
