Capt. Sunil Thapar has been appointed as director of bulk carriers and tankers division at Shipping Corporation of India.

He is a holder of master's (foreign going) certificate of competency issued by ministry of shipping and an MSc in shipping management from the World Maritime University, Sweden.

Thapar, a life member of the Company of Master Mariners of India, has vast experience in shipping management, business development, chartering, liner and container shipping, bulk carriers, tankers and off shore services.
