Dr Reddy's Laboratories has announced the elevation of Saumen Chakraborty as president corporate and global generics operations. Chakraborty was earlier chief financial officer.

In his new role, Chakraborty will now handle product development, manufacturing and supply chain operations of the generics business, along with corporate functions like quality, regulatory, corporate medical services and pharmacovigilance.
