Credit Suisse appoints Pankaj Kalra, MD, investment banking

Credit Suisse today announced the appointment of Pankaj Kalra as a managing director, investment banking. He was earlier with DSP Merrill Lynch in Mumbai, where he had been a director in the general industries investment banking group since July 2006. 

He will be based in Mumbai and cover selected large cap clients in the energy, industrial and telecom sectors, where there is an increasing level of mergers and acquisitions and capital-raising activity, reporting to V Anantharaman, head of Credit Suisses investment banking in India. 

Kalra has worked for Merrill Lynch in London, New York, Hong Kong and Singapore since 1994, also working for National Australia Bank between 2003 and 2005.
