AAR
announced on 4 September that Donald J Wetekam has been
named president of AAR Aircraft Services, Oklahoma. Wetekam
previously served as deputy chief of staff for installations
and logistics with the US Air Force (USAF).
He
will lead operations at AAR''s 300,000-square-foot, full-service
maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) facility at Will
Rogers World Airport, as well as AAR''s MRO facilities
at Hot Springs, Arkansas and Roswell, New Mexico.
Wetekam
directed operations at Warner Robins Air Logistics Centre
and at the Oklahoma City Air Logistics Centre at Tinker
Air Force Base. He was a staunch advocate for the adoption
of quality and process improvement techniques like lean
production and Six Sigma, in the USAF.

Aircraft Services provides major maintenance inspections,
line maintenance, aircraft modifications and upgrades
to the world''s major, regional and cargo airline fleets,
and for the US military and government agencies.
