Bangalore:
Founder of telecom services giant BPL Mobile and currently
chairman and CEO of Bangalore-based Jupiter Capital, Rajeev
Chandrasekhar, has been appointed vice-president of the
Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry
at the conclusion of its 79th annual general meeting held
in the Capital recently.
Chandrasekhar
is currently a Rajya Sabha member, representing Bangalore.
He has served as a member of the prime ministers'' council
on trade and industry between 1999 and 2003, member of
the advisory committee in the ministry of information
technology from
1999 to 2002, chairperson of the government of Karnataka,
infrastructure task force from 1999 to 2002. Chandrasekhar
is director, Karnataka Power Corporation Ltd.
