SEBI holds meeting with exchanges, depositories

Mumbai: The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) held a meeting yesterday morning with exchanges and depositories to take a comprehensive review of the settlement, risk management and market trends.

The SEBI press release stated that G.N. Bajpai, Chairman, SEBI, and whole-time members - T.M. Nagarajan and A.K. Batra, attended the meeting.

The market regulator reaffirmed that there were no issues connected with settlement and risk management measures were robust and healthy.

Analysis of relevant data is being done continuously and any entity found even trying to break the rules or indulge in misconduct will be dealt with severely and appropriately, its size and shade notwithstanding, the release said.
