CNBC-TV18 to host financial advisor empowerment forum at Mumbai

With these investments necessitiating "informed decisions", CNBC-TV18, in association with Optimix has decided to present the ''financial advisor empowerment (FAE) forum'', for the first time in Mumbai.
The FAE forum will visit different Indian metros to help investors evaluate, understand and choose the best suited investment alternatives. The metro forums will be followed by Financial Advisor Awards 2007, which will recognise the contribution of the financial-advisor community to the wealth creation process.
According to a note by the company, this unique on-ground initiative will go a long way to educate investors and share knowledge about the tools available to maximise wealth.
The forum will have a panel of India''s most powerful wealth creators, such as Ashvin Arora, managing director, OptiMix; ace fundraiser AP Kurien, who was UTI''s former executive director and is currently the chairman, Association of Mutual Funds in India (AMFI); chartered accountant Shailesh Haribhakti, chairman, Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB); Ms. Kanan, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance; and S V Mony, secretary general of Life Insurance Council.
