The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has organised a meeting with Ian Salter, deputy chairman London Stock Exchange, on 21 June at Taj Mahal Hotel in Mumbai.

Despite the popular perception that Nasdaq in USA is the choice for IT companies, London Stock Exchange in recent years has seen a steady increase in participation by both, Indian IT companies and others.

Total volume of trading in 20 Indian global depository receipts listed in London Stock Exchange stood at $ 10 billion last year. The trend is expected to improve further. Wide diverse stocks coupled with large pool of international capital are some of the favourable factors of London Stock Exchange, according to industry sources.
