The directorate of industries and commerce (DIC) of the Kerala government has launched a 'virtual trading centre' for industrial products, manufactured mainly in the state.

The online business platform, which helps entrepreneurs and customers to identify products and contact potential business partners and customers, will benefit both entrepreneurs and customers in the state.

The center aims at providing information to the public on industrial products produced mainly by small and medium enterprises in the state, their availability and the identity of the producer.

Manufacturers can apply for registration at the DIC online. Once registered, the entities can search inputs and for consumers of their products.

The common man would also benefit from the virtual trading centre, which acts as a guide for all.

The platform is also user-friendly as it uses multimedia content. Product search can also be done using product name, company, location, product specifications, quality certified products and production capacity of the firms.
