Transcend, worldwide leader in memory and storage products, today unveiled the company's first 64GB Class 10 SDXC (Secure Digital eXtended Capacity) memory card.
Transcend's new SDXC cards provides ample storage capacity and transfer rates up to 25 MB/s for extended HD video recording and improved camera performance for high-resolution digital photography.
Austin Huang, sales director, Transcend Asia, said, "SDXC is the next-generation standard for SD cards. With supported capacities ranging from 32GB up to 2TB, SDXC offers vastly greater storage potential compared to the SDHC standard, which only supports capacities up to 32GB."
A 64GB SDXC card is capable of storing a maximum of 26208 pictures (based on 5 mega-pixel JPEG compression format), 352 hours of standard quality video (MPEG-4 video at 384 Kbps), or 640 minutes of 1920x1080 videos.
"With the use of the exFAT file system that supports files larger than 4GB, Transcend's SDXC cards feature high storage capacity, making them the ideal complement to today's high-end SDXC-compatible DSLR cameras and HD camcorders," Huang added.
Transcend's Class 10 SDHC Cards with transfer speeds of up to 20MB/s are also available in 4GB, 8GB, 16GB and 32GB capacities.
The 64GB SDXC is priced at Rs15, 000 and comes with lifetime warranty.
Transcend offers a full line of standard and proprietary memory modules, flash memory cards, USB flash drives, portable hard drives, solid-state drives, digital music players, card readers and multimedia products.
