The Saygus V2 smartphone launched at CES 2015 could be the phone everyone would just love to own, Tech2 reported.

The company had packed in a number of features and specifications which even leading tech giants like Apple and Samsung had not offered as yet.

The Saygus V2 smartphone  is housed in a hardened Kevlar protective edge with aluminum sides, a strong lightweight magnesium mid-frame and a resilient soft-touch back coating in a tough fiberglass body under 10mm in width. The phone has a thickness of 9.7mm and weighed 141 grams.

The IPx7-certified smartphone is waterproof and can withstand being submerged in up to 1 metre of water for 30 minutes. It comes with a 5 inch display with Full HD 'ArcticLink III' sunlight-readable screen and  also had front and back light sensors for screen lighting control. The company packed in extra protection, with the Corning Gorilla Glass 4.

The device also came with a built in storage of 64GB and two built-in microSD card slots capable of supporting up to 128GB a slot, which worked out to be whopping 320GB of storage, which had not been seen on any smartphone or even tablets, for that matter.

The 'dream' phone was powered by a 2.5Ghz Quad Core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor paired with 3GB RAM.

Also, where camera was concerned the device had gone to a whole new level.

The company behind the smartphone, Saygus is  based in Salt Lake City.

It is currently the only smartphone start-up to ever receive certification from a US Carrier.

It was not only the winner of a 2015 CES Innovation Award in the Wireless Handset category, the very first version of the product was being widely recognised as the world's number one smartphone, which was something for any company venturing into the space dominated by the big players.
