Asus launches GPS-enabled smartpones in India

Mobile phone and computer spare maker Asus in association with Garmin has launched two new location-oriented Nuvifone phones - M20 and G60 - in India. Garmin specialises in navigation-oriented gadgets.
The M20 carries a 2.8-inch touch screen and runs on the newly launched Windows 6.5 Mobile system. The G60 sports a larger screen of 3.5 inches and runs on the Linux OS.
Both cameras incorporate geo tagging of pictures and a car finder. The camera resolution is 3.5Mpx.
The phones incorporate an HTML browser for the internet and connection options include 3.5G and wi-fi.
The phones sport a feature called Location Link that allows the user to locate a point of interest by selecting it on the screen. The G60 comes preloaded with maps of US and Europe, and carries millions of points of interest. The car finder feature allows the owner to locate their car.
Another feature is the 'Send your Location' application through which the users can communicate their location to friends.
