07 November 2006

Mumbai: IP-driven technology solutions provider Megasoft has tied up with Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) to provide roaming management services and focus on setting up agreements. The deal is worth about $0.3 million.

Under the deal, Megasoft's telecom division XIUS would provide core services to MTNL, including signing up of roaming bilaterals and roaming management services, an MTNL release said.

XIUS solutions would provide instant access to subscribers and enable an automatic selection of network while roaming instead of manual switching over the network, the release said.

With technical expertise built over a decade, Megasoft operates centers of excellence in the telecom and life sciences domains. The IP-driven technology solutions approach enables Megasoft to consistently provide the benefits of reduced software development cycles to the customers.

Megasoft has operations in nine countries around the world and state of the art development centers at India and China.

State-owned MTNL is constantly upgrading the quality of telecom services, expanding the telecom network and introducing new services to meet telecom development needs of India's key metros - Delhi and Mumbai.

Besides having a strong financial base, MTNL has achieved a market share of approximately 13 per cent of the Indian telecommunication network with a customer base of over 4.74 million lines.
