DishTV introduces set top boxes for viewing TV on computers

Direct-to-home television provider DishTV today introduced a new set top box that enables viewers to watch TV programmes on their computers as well as on TV sets.

Priced at Rs4,150, the new set top boxes will be available at Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata, Pune, Ahmedabad and Hyderabad initially. Later they will be available across the country in phases.

Launching the set top box in Chennai, Krishna Kumar, deputy vice president, sales, DishTV, said that subscribers could alter between computer and live TV by merely clicking a button on the remote control to operate the set top boxes.
