TomTom India launches high-speed multi-charger

TomTom India announced the launch of its high speed multi-charger, capable of charging up to three devices simultaneously, and that too at speeds up to four times faster than other chargers.

The Financial Express newspaper quoted Kavita Nath, country manager at TomTom India as saying that the multi-charger enabled users to charge their smartphones, iPads and other devices all at the same time.

The company has also promised that all devices would receive full-power charging simultaneously unlike some products where full charge was lost.

In addition to a 1.2 Amp USB charging port for mobile phones or MP3 players, the device comes with a 2.1 Amp port to speed-charge high power USB devices such as iPads or iPhones. The charger is also provided with a dedicated port for powering 12V in-car devices like DVD players.

The device thus allows drivers who are always on the road to charge and use all their electronic devices during the trip.

The charger can also be used for charging devices like cameras.

The recently launched charger series from TomTom India comes in four models; Compact USB Car Charger, Fast Car Charger, Fast Car Charger with Cable and Clip management and USB Home Charger. For charging iPhones, iPads and iPods consumers can use Fast Car Charger which is priced Rs990, while the USB Home Charger is compatible with GPS devices, ultra compact and is priced at Rs1,390. The Compact USB Car Charger is offered with a detachable cable and can charge mobiles and navigation devices. It retails at Rs890.
