Hyderabad: City based Visaka Industries has started trial production at its Rai Barielly unit and has decided to commence commercial production from 1st January 2005. Visaka has already established its brand in the South, East and Western parts of the country.

Visaka's unit at Rai Barielly near Bachraon is one of the most modern plants for manufacturing fibre cement sheets in the country with a capacity of 1,20,000 tonnes per annum. Visaka has building material units in A.P., Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Karnataka with a total annual capacity of manufacturing 3,50,000 M.T. of fibre cement.

The company has appointed dealers in Uttar Pradesh and will supply material to them from its Midnapore plant in West Bengal. The same dealers will also be able to source material from the company's new unit at Rae Barielly. The unit, being closer, would save time and transportation wear and tear for the dealers.
