Ethos Swiss watch studio opens duty free store at Delhi airport's Terminal 3 airport

Ethos Swiss Watch Studios opened its duty-free outlet at the recently inaugurated Indira Gandhi International Airport's terminal 3.

The outlet will house almost 15 Swiss watch brands in both fashion and luxury segments such as Omega, Chopard, Cartier, Longines, Edox, Tissot, and many more.

Ethos Swiss Watch Studios is the only multi-brand retail chain present at airports, after having forayed into the space in 2008 at Bangalore international airport, departures.

It also has stores at terminal 1 departures, New Delhi, opened in October 2009, followed by its duty-free store at international departures, New Delhi airport and lately it started operations at the Mumbai domestic airport.

Yashovardhan Saboo, CEO, Ethos Swiss watch studios, said, ''Airports are a competitive, captive retail market because when travelers are waiting for a flight, they have nowhere to go, hence providing them with the best of brands under one roof is a forte.''

Terminal 3 has put Delhi on the global aviation map as it will more than double the airport's current capacity and handles nearly 35 million passengers a year.

Ethos had entered the watch retail market in 2003, when it opened its flagship store in the heart of Chandigarh. Within six years, Ethos has grown to a chain of 24 stores, located in Chandigarh, Ludhiana, Mumbai, Bengaluru Delhi and NCR and lately in Hyderabad, retailing 35 of the best-known Swiss brands.

Ethos also manages an exclusive Omega boutique in Mumbai and a Rolex boutique in Bangalore, amongst a few other mono boutiques.
