Krishna Goenka, Usman Balwa appointed DB Realty additional directors

Beleaguered real estate company D B Realty, has appointed Krishna Murari Goenka and Usman Balwa as additional directors of the company with effect from 21 April, 2011.
D B Realty said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange, "The Board of Directors of the company at a meeting held on April 21 has appointed Krishna Murari Goenka (Father of Vinod Goenka, Promoter) and Usman Balwa (Father of Shahid Balwa, Promoter) as Additional Directors of the company with effect from April 21".
It said further that the company had also taken on record during the same meeting the resignation of Michael McCook, from directorship of D B Realty.
Meanwhile, a Delhi Court had on 20 April dismissed the bail pleas of five corporate executives, including Swan Telecom director Vinod Goenka, who is an accused in the 2G scam.
The five executives arrested by the investigating agency were taken to Tihar Jail in the national capital following the court order.
According to D B Realty the denial of bail to its managing director Vinod Goenka in the 2G spectrum scam would not have any impact on company''s operations.
