Target Corporation US ties up with Kohinoor Foods

For the first time in history, a leading US retail chain, Target Corporation has tied up with Kohinoor Foods, to source and sell over 16 different authentic Indian delicacies at all its exclusive outlets in the US.

Kohinoor Foods has its food plant at Bahalgarh, Haryana for producing Indian delicacies with their true authentic taste in formats like Ready-To-Eat Curries & Meals, Frozen Breads & Snacks, Spices & Seasonings, Cook-in Sauces and Cooking Pastes. With its current capacity, Kohinoor Foods' plant is capable of producing over 1, 20,000 meals per day.

It is for the first time ever in history that a US company has tied up with an Indian company for supplying Indian food products.

Gurnam Arora, joint managing director, Kohinoor Foods Ltd., said, ''Authentic Indian food is gaining lot of importance and has created a fan following for itself in the United States and many other International markets. The aim behind joining hands with a leading chain like Target Corporation is to serve the increasing demands of authentic Indian food in the US.''

Initially Target plans to introduce four selected categories cook-in sauces, microwave rice, microwaveable meal and meal kit.

The products that will be offered consumers in the US are tikka masala, goan vindaloo, coconut curry, roganjosh, saffron rice, Basmati rice with peas, vegetable biryani and meal kits like coconut rice and coconut curry, peas rice and tikka sauce, lemon rice and aqloo sabzi, vegetable biryani and aloo mutter, Goan vindaloo and roganjosh.
