Johnson Controls acquires Phoenix-based Metro Mechanical, Inc

Global leader in smart environments, Johnson Controls, Inc., has announced the acquisition of Metro Mechanical, Inc, a mechanical services company located in Phoenix. Specific terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

Metro Mechanical, Inc. provides retrofit, maintenance and repair services for commercial, industrial and institutional customers throughout the Phoenix region. The company has approximately 200 employees.

"Acquiring Metro Mechanical, Inc. allows us to expand our offerings and deliver enhanced service to customers in Phoenix," said Steven Kallan, general manager, Phoenix service branch of Johnson Controls. "We are committed to continuing Metro Mechanical's dedication to customer service that has contributed to its position of leadership for over 33 years."

"Johnson Controls brings worldwide credibility, expanded capacity and a great vision for the growing Phoenix market," said Nick Ganem, president of operations, Metro Mechanical, Inc. "The employees of both organizations are committed to providing the best service in the market place and will now be able to offer a broader range of services to our customers."
