Sudarshan Chemicals completes Phase 1 upgradation of Roha facility with Rs100 crore investment

Sudarshan Chemical Industries Ltd has upgraded its Roha facility to global standards with investments of around Rs100 crore in the first phase.

This will take "Sudarshan from a domestic player to a global leader in the world of color," the company said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

The company now boasts of a state-of-the-art warehouse, high performance pigment plants, pearlescent and cogeneration plants and an ultra-modern employee facility. It has also modernised its R&D and application laboratory.

The upgraded Roha facilities, located at its existing 89-acre Roha site, is planned to be officially inaugurated on 9 April.

The upgrade facility has an ultra modern warehouse spread over 120,000 sq ft with ground plus 8 stacking levels and a total of 5,121 pallet positions having a storage capacity of 1,600 tonnes.

The warehouse will be operated by `Very Narrow Aisle' (VNA) trucks and online stock updation with help of SAP Warehouse Management System.
