Standard Chartered appoints Kapil Dev as brand ambassador

New Delhi: Standard Chartered Bank has appointed former Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev as its brand ambassador. Under the agreement, Kapil will endorse and promote the products and services offered by StanChart for a period of two years.

The endorsements will happen through corporate and product campaigns on television, the print and outdoor. The contract also includes participation in events such as branch openings, new product launches and customer events.

Says StanChart CEO (India region) Jaspal Bindra: “As part of our brand plans, we have decided to associate with sports in general, and cricket in particular.” StanChart has introduced several products and promotions related to cricket. This includes the cricket credit card and the cricket debit card.
