StanChart appoints new managers

Mumbai: Standard Chartered Bank has appointed Rajan Ray as head, corporate and institutional banking, India, and Ravi Kumar as head, global markets, India.

The bank said both these are key positions that would help StanChart to ensure growth of its wholesale banking in the country. The appointments are expected to further strengthen StanCharts footprint in India and complement the expertise of the local management team.

Ray will be responsible for expanding the corporate and institutions business. Kumar will be responsible for improving the global markets (treasury) franchise. Both will work to leverage the synergies that exist for the customers in the treasury and corporate and institutions function.
