Federal Bank starts anywhere banking services in 300 branches

Kochi: Federal Bank has announced the launch of its anywhere banking services (AWB), providing its customers the convenience of doing transactions among 300-plus interconnected branches of the bank.

Federal Bank chairman K P Padmakumar says the latest technology-intensive platform will enable the customers remitting of cash, cheques, withdrawal of cash, instant funds transfer, balance enquiry from any of the interconnected branches.

He says the bank has been in the forefront in introducing innovative products and channels of delivery, including Internet banking, interconnected ATMs, international debit cards, mobile banking and mobile alerts, to offer more convenience and greater access to its customers.

The inter-bank special electronic funds transfer (SEFT) and real-time gross settlement (RTGS) system initiated by the Reserve Bank of India will be integrated with the AWB system of the bank shortly, extending the convenience to other banks' customers also.

The bank has also centralised its tele-banking service to enable its customers of over 300 branches to dial a single telephone number and do balance enquiry and chequebook request from anywhere in the world.
