Bank commences selling Aviva Life insurance products

Mumbai:
Aviva Life Insurance has launched the sale of its products
through Canara Bank. Aviva and Canara Bank had signed a
letter of intent in November 2002 to retail life insurance
products.
Canara
Bank, which was issued its corporate agency licence in
January 2003, will start selling the insurance products
from 50 of its branches across 39 Indian cities.
Canara
Bank is likely to earn a commission income of between
Rs 20-25 crore in the first year of business, according
to bank officials.
