Axis Bank signs service contract for ATMs with Diebold

Diebold India today announced a two-year managed services agreement with Axis Bank, wherein Diebold will manage more than 1,100 of the bank's ATMs in India.

As part of the contract, Diebold will support Axis Bank with services such as ATM incident monitoring, vendor management, cash forecasting and replenishment services, caretaker services, consumables management and site maintenance.

''Today, the ATM industry requires numerous support services to run its operations efficiently,'' said Naresh Hosangady, vice president and managing director, South Asia, Diebold. 

Diebold has in the past been associated with Axis Bank for various services, including ATM upgrades, electronic journal facilities and consumables management.

Headquartered in Mumbai, Diebold India is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Diebold Incorporated with an infrastructure supporting more than 780 locations across the country.   

Axis Bank has more than 1,200 branches and more than 5,500 ATMs across India.
