Axis Bank Q4 net profit up 31.54 per cent at Rs764.87 crore

Private sector lender Axis Bank today said its net profit surged 31.54 per cent to Rs764.87 crore for the fourth quarter ended 31 March 2010.
The lender clocked a total income of Rs3,921.99 crore for the March quarter as against Rs3,884.73 crore for the same period in the previous fiscal, it said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The bank's consolidated net profit stood at Rs2,478.14 crore for the year ended 31March 2010 against Rs1,812.93 crore last fiscal.
Axis Bank earned interest revenue of Rs2,988.45 crore in the fourth quarter ended 31 March 2010 as against Rs3,039.22 crore for the same period last fiscal.
The consolidated interest earned by the bank for the year ended 31 March stood at Rs11,639.05 crore as against Rs10,829 crore in the previous fiscal.
Axis Bank has recommended Rs12 per share as the dividend for the year ended March 2010.
