Mumbai: With the recently introduced Risk Management System (RMS) at the Air Cargo Complex (ACC), Mumbai, air cargo will receive clearance within a few hours. Initially tried at Mumbai the system will be extended to all the other customs houses across the country in a month's time. Officials said that the government has felt the need to reduce the dwell-time of cargo at the ports and airports and to reduce the transaction costs in order to enhance the competitiveness of Indian businesses, by expediting release of cargo where compliance is high.
