Bihar to have 40 'skill development centres: Rajiv Pratap Rudy

Minister of State for skill development and entrepreneurship, Rajiv Pratap Rudy today said that the centre would soon set up a 'skill development center' in all the 40 parliamentary constituencies of Bihar.

Addressing a press conference in Patna, Rudy, said the centre's target is to make 50 crore people employable through skill development by 2017.

He added that all technical training curriculum would compulsory be linked with 'national skill qualification framework' for the purpose of securing government jobs.

Comparing the quantum of skilled youths in other countries, he said, only 3 per cent youth in India have proper skills, which needs to be enhanced.
