Mumbai is world’s dirt capital: Survey

India's commercial capital Mumbai is also the world's dirt capital, ranking lowest in a global list of 40 key tourist cities in terms of cleanliness, ease of travel, etc.

Tokyo ranks as number one among the 40 cities surveyed with some of the cleanest streets, best taxi services, friendliest taxi drivers, best public transportation and safety of travel.

New York City is ranked top for shopping, cut comes a poor 28 out of 40 for cleanliness. Global respondents also believed visiting the Big Apple may break the bank as it is ranked 32 out of 40 for value, according to TripAdvisor's Cities Survey.

On the other hand, Mumbai ranked last in the list of "cleanest streets" also takes the last spot in the category of "ease of getting around" while Zurich stood at the top place, the survey pointed out.

Tokyo was the most highly decorated world city, ranking number one for best taxi services, friendliest taxi drivers, best public transportation, cleanest streets and safety.
Tokyo has the cleanest streets followed by Singapore and Zurich.

Cancun is ranked the friendliest city followed by Tokyo and Lisbon, while Zurich comes on top in terms of ease of getting around and is followed by Vienna and Singapore.
