BSF foils infiltration bid, shoots suspect

A suspected intruder was shot dead by the Border Security Force along the India-Pakistan border in Pathankot on Wednesday night. Three infiltrators had attempted to cross the border in the Sehjra Bulge area from Pakistan. The BSF shot down one, while two fled the scene.

According to CNN-IBN, the body of the person shot dead is on the Pakistan side of the border.

Reports say that the three infiltrators had tried to enter into India taking advantage of the fog. There are constant efforts by being made to send infiltrators into India during foggy weather conditions.

The BSF has increased the security at the border. In Punjab, with road blocks being put up to prevent infiltration attempts.

The latest infiltration attempt comes soon after the terror attack on the Air Force base at Pathankot.
