Yahoo! India’s Big Idea Chair 2010 awards to celebrate best in digital advertising

Continuing its history of fostering creativity and innovation on the digital medium, Yahoo! India today announced the Big Idea Chair 2010 awards for creative and media agencies across India.

Big Idea Chair, a global initiative by Yahoo!, celebrates digital innovation across the world.

The awards recognise some of the best work by the online community and also call out those creative inputs and integrated strategies that enabled marketing excellence in digital advertising.

Big Idea Chair 2010 will feature six awards across three categories - integrated awards: Yahoo! Big Idea Chair, best digital brand solution; display awards: best rich media ad, best engagement ad, best mobile solution; and search awards: best creative search award.

Arun Tadanki, managing director, Yahoo! India, said, ''Digital advertising offers immense scope for innovation and provides an opportunity for brand marketers to unleash cutting edge ideas.''

To encourage agency participation and create buzz around the event, Yahoo!'s travelling Big Idea Chair would traverse 20 top agencies across Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore where it will stay for two days in each agency.

A jury of eminent members from advertising, creative and media fraternity will judge the entries for the event.

The panel of jury includes Rajaram Narayanan, vice president, Lakme and haircare,  Unilever, Kunal Jeswani, country head, Ogilvy One; Alok Bharadwaj, senior vice president, Canon India; Anil Nair, managing partner, Digital Law and Kenneth, Karl Gomes, digital strategist and marketing consultant; Arun Tadanki, MD, Yahoo! India and Nitin Mathur , senior director, marketing, Yahoo! India.
