Xerox partners with Johnnie Walker Golf Classic 2008

Mumbai: As a major thrust to its new brand identity, document management company Xerox India has announced its partnership with Johnnie Walker Golf Classic 2008 (JWC) as its ''Official Technology, Print and Document Partner.''

This is the first major corporate sponsorship and brand investment by Xerox India after the company underwent a global brand revamp in January 2008.

Johnnie Walker Golf Classic 2008 is one of the biggest international golfing events that India has ever witnessed, with an estimated prize money of $2.5 million.  It is scheduled to take place for the first time in India at the DLF Golf and Country Club at Gurgaon, starting 28 February to 2 March, 2008.

Globally, Xerox has embarked upon an all-new look, bringing in a sweeping transformation to it is corporate identity making the brand young, vibrant, dynamic and contemporary. .

Talking about the partnership, Andrew Horne, Managing Director, Xerox India Limited, said, ''With the new identity and exuberance that the brand reflects today, Xerox finds a perfect match in its partnership with Johnnie Walker Golf Classic, as one of the key sponsors. This is an excellent platform to articulate our new brand identity and values to our audiences and showcase key elements of our new brand - contemporary, more relevant to businesses, less formal and more lively. We will continue to roll out series of marketing initiatives such as sponsorships, enhance visibility at industry forums and advertising amongst others to ensure that we communicate the essence of the new Xerox brand. Xerox's partnership with JWC is the first major step in this direction and you will see much more from Xerox India going forward.''

Xerox Corporation underwent a brand revamp on 7 January, 2008.

The new brand is designed to reflect today's Xerox, a customer-centric company built on a continuing history of innovative ideas, products and services that meet the needs of businesses small to large.

The new Xerox logo is now a lowercase treatment of the Xerox name – in a vibrant red – alongside a sphere-shaped symbol sketched with lines that link to form an illustrative ''X,'' representing Xerox's connections to its customers, partners, industry and innovation, and designed to be more effectively animated for use in multi-media platforms.
