Walmart is recalling 74,000 Mainstays five piece card table and chair sets after receiving complaints that the chairs collapse leading to consumers losing fingertips and in a case an entire finger.

The US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) said that the chairs can collapse unexpectedly, posing a fall hazard and a risk of finger injury, including  finger amputation.

At least 10 injuries have been reported, including four people who lost part or all of a finger,  three fingertip amputations, sprained or fractured fingers and one report of a sore back, the CPSC said.

The recalled Mainstays card table sets made by Dongguan Shin Din Metal & Plastic Products Co of China were sold across the US from May 2013 until November 2013 for about $50.

The CPSC  has asked consumers to immediately stop using the recalled card table and chair sets and return them to Walmart for a full refund.
