Vodafone slashes roaming rates for incoming calls

Targeting holiday users, Vodafone India has launched a national roaming plan for pre-paid customers that enable its subscribers to receive calls for 30 paise per minute.
At present, incoming calls rates range between Rs26 to Rs47 and vary from state to state.
The outgoing call rates under the plan are at 1.5 paise per second for all local and STD calls, while roaming or at home, the company said in a statement.
Vivek Mathur, cief cmmercial oficer, Vodafone India, said, ''The new national roaming plan has been specially created for those who tend to travel a lot on a regular basis. They can now talk more without worrying about high roaming costs.''
The plans come with a roaming incoming benefit of 30 days and tariff validity of 180 days.
With the holiday season approaching, most people will be planning their vacations and this new roaming plan will help them. Standard rates will be applicable for SMS, data roaming and ISD roaming.

These new roaming plans for pre paid customers are presently available in all Vodafone circles, except Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Jammu and Kashmir.
