Videocon Mobile offers global calls at 10 paise per minute

Videocon Mobile Services has launched a voucher that enables users to make calls to the US and Canada at an effective price of less than 10 paise per minute.

This is a discount of 98 per cent on the rack rate of Rs6.40 per minute. Under the pack, the company is offering 1,000 minutes of calls to USA and Canada at about Rs105 for existing customers and Rs135 for new acquisitions. The pack has a validity of 4 weeks.

The International Long Distance (ILD) pack offers the lowest calling rates to these countries, the company said in a statement.

''Videocon Mobile Services is engaged in bringing the best tariff offers to its consumers and this US and Canada ILD Pack is a part of the brand's commitment of the same. With this pack we are offering unmatched and most economical ILD to our subscribers at tariffs which will be cheaper than even local calling,'' Arvind Bali, director and chief executive of Videocon Telecommunications, said.
